These terms apply to pressure washing, re-sanding, resealing and gutter clearance services provided by Aqua Care, a sole trader business operated by Riain McDonnell ("we", "us"), to you, the customer. By booking work with us, you agree to these terms.

Quotes

Quotes are free and provided from photos of the job or a site visit. A quote is based on the information and access described to us at the time. If the job turns out to be materially different on arrival, for example a larger area, a different surface, or heavier contamination than shown, we will tell you before starting and agree any change to the price. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

Booking and access

You agree to provide safe access to the areas being cleaned on the agreed date, including access to an outdoor water supply and, where needed, an external power socket. Please move vehicles, furniture, pots and other items from the work area before we arrive. If we cannot access the work area or the job cannot go ahead when we arrive, a call-out charge may apply.

Cancellation

You can cancel or rearrange a booking free of charge with at least 48 hours notice. For consumer bookings made by phone, email or through this website, you also have a statutory 14 day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to carry out the work within that 14 day period, you agree that the cancellation right is lost once the work has been fully performed.

The work

We will carry out the work with reasonable care and skill. Pressure washing results depend on the age, condition and type of surface. We will always be honest about what a clean can and cannot achieve. Some marks, such as deep oil staining, rust, paint or damage to the surface itself, may not come out fully.

Re-sanding of joints with kiln dried sand, resealing and specialist treatments are additional services and are only included where quoted.

Existing defects such as loose pointing, cracked slabs, unstable blocks or perished mortar can be exposed or dislodged by cleaning. We will point out anything we notice before starting, but we are not responsible for pre-existing defects revealed by the work.

Some weed and moss regrowth over time is natural and is not a defect in the work.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept bank transfer or cash. If payment is not made within 14 days of the due date, we may charge statutory interest on the overdue amount.

Liability

We hold public liability insurance. We are responsible for damage caused by our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in surfaces, for damage caused by inaccurate information given to us about the surface or site, or for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our work. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Complaints

If you are not happy with any part of the work, contact us within 7 days of completion at riain2414@gmail.com or 07923 985650 and we will come back to inspect and put right anything that falls short of these terms.

General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
